Internet Set up for Win XP

1. On desktop, open Internet Explorer / START - All programs - Internet Explorer

2. The 'Internet Connection Wizard' should appear - Choose option to
Run the new connection wizard

3. Click NEXT

4. Choose option Connect to the Internet

5. Click NEXT

6. Choose option Set up my connection manually

7. Click NEXT
 
8. Choose option Connect using a dial up modem

9. Click NEXT

10. Type in ISP Name: Eastern ShoreNet

11. Click NEXT

12. Type in Phone #: 410-901-1401 or 410-822-8621

13. Click NEXT

14. Type in Username & Password assigned & UNCHECK the box -
Turn on Internet Connection firewall for this connection

15. Click NEXT

16. Check the box - ADD shortcut to this connection to my desktop

17. Click FINISH

18. On your Desktop you should now see a new icon names Eastern ShoreNet - Double click to open

19. Click Properties (A new window opens)

20.Click the Tab that says 'Networking'

21.Click the button that says 'Settings' (A new window opens called 'PPP Settings') UNCHECK the box ' Enable LCP extensions'

22.Click OK

23.Click OK again

24. Click DIAL (Your now connecting)

25. Congrats…you’re on the Internet!
