Internet Set up for Win ME

1. On desktop, double left click “My Computer”

2. Double click “Dial-up Networking”

3. On left side double click “Make a New Connection” (A new box will open called)

4. Type in name of computer your dialing- Eastern ShoreNet

5. Click NEXT

6. Area code - type in 410 and Phone number type in 4109011401 or 4108228621 (You must add area code to phone number too)

7. Click NEXT

8. Click FINISH

9. Single right click on Eastern ShoreNet icon

10. Click Properties (A new window will open)

11. Under the General tab - uncheck the box “Use area code & Dial Properties”

12. Under the “Servers Types” tab – uncheck all these three boxes
“Log on to Network” and “NetBEUI” and “IPX/SPX Compatible”

13. Click OK

14. Single right click Eastern ShoreNet

15. Click CREATE SHORTCUT (Another window will open click YES!)

16. Close “Dial-Up Networking”

17. On your desktop - double left click on SHORTCUT TO EASTERN SHORENET

18. Type in your username & password

19. Then click CONNECT

20. Congrats…you’re on the Internet!
